Firm Biographies
Stanley W. Pierson
Mr. Pierson concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate matters and business/corporate planning. He often represents buyers and sellers in residential real estate transactions and serves as a title insurance agent for Attorneys' Title Guaranty Fund, Inc. and Chicago Title Company. Mr. Pierson also represents several condominium associations for whom he has resolved issues regarding building turnover from developers, collection of delinquent assessments as well as assisted in the election and operation of boards of managers, litigating when necessary. He works with those Condo Associations to draft new or amend existing Bylaws and Rules and Regulations tailored to the specific needs of the building owners.
He also enjoys every opportunity to assist tenants, both commercial and residential, in successful lease negotiations. Mr. Pierson believes that it is essential for both sides to fully understand their obligations, as well as their rights under any lease or rental agreement.
Stan also counsels clients regarding business organization and planning, where he advises small business startups as well as established entities on proper corporate structure, officers and Boards of Directors’ responsibilities, long term planning and operating decisions. He helps business owners to secure and negotiate vendor contracts, commercial leases and agreements, including those for employees and independent contractors.
Prior to forming Pierson & Jackson, LLC, Mr. Pierson practiced in the areas of false claims and class action litigation. He also has extensive experience in the E-Discovery arena, having worked with LawyerLink, LLC, which is now a division of Axiom, as a successful Project Manager, where he led large teams of attorneys as they provided discovery services in complex commercial litigation for Fortune 100 companies.
Stan was admitted to practice at the Bar of the State of Illinois and the Federal Bar for the Northern District of Illinois in 2002.
He earned his B.A. in English from UCLA and his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Mr. Pierson is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and serves on the Real Property Law Committee, the Business Law Committee and the Committee for LGBT Rights.
Stan also remains active in the community as a member of the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce, serving on its Member Services Committee. He enjoys volunteering time with the Center on Halsted, Chicago Volunteer Legal Services’ Foreclosure Mediation Program and the Expungement Help Desk for Cabrini Legal Aid at the Daley Center. He was an author and presenter, along with Ms. Jackson, for the NBI Seminar, Landlord-Tenant Law from A to Z, in June 2010.
Julia Jackson
Ms. Jackson's practice focuses on all aspects of Condominium Law including drafting bylaws, reviewing condominium procedures, and counseling clients on the best course of action for their particular issue. She also enjoys helping new businesses form the appropriate legal entity, draft required agreements, review contracts, and address the various legal issues that inevitably pop up.
Juli was admitted to the practice of law for the State of Illinois in 2003. She is an active member of both the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
A member of the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce, in 2011 Juli was elected and now proudly serves on the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
Ms. Jackson received her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, her M.L.I.S. from Dominican University in River Forest, IL and her B.A. in History and German with a concentration in Public Service from Albion College in Albion MI.
She was an author and presenter, along with Mr. Pierson, for the NBI Seminar, Landlord-Tenant Law from A to Z, in June 2010.
